Study Centres
At Highbury, our vibrant new resource area features several distinct areas:
Reception Zone - staffed throughout College opening times, services include:
- booking of one-to-one support or assessment sessions
- small shop where you can buy a range of stationery items
- printing and laminating support.
Maths & English Zone - where you can:
- get additional support with maths or English including
- past papers to practice on and receive feedback
- additional work to help you progress.
Quiet Study Zone - so you can study quietly at the available tables.
Reading Zone - if you wish to sit and read quietly.
Creative Zone - exhibiting a range of student artwork and creative wares for you to enjoy and buy.
Small Group Zone - where you can attend sessions in:
- study skills
- exam revision
- exam preparation
- research skills
- note taking
- time management
- organisational skills.
There are two small rooms, where you can be assessed in confidence for exam concessions and neurodiversity/dyslexia.
You can also get dedicated one-to-one support with your assignment work, course work, homework or online learning.
All attendance is recorded and the help and support you receive monitored, so we can evaluate your progress.
Student surveys will also be carried out to ensure your needs are consistently being met and improved.
