How to apply
If you are interested in studying with us on a global study programme, there are some key requirements and application processes. Have a read through the information below to check your eligibility - and get ready to join us!
Getting started with COPC
Applications to study with us as an international student for a Semester or Term study programme placement, need to be made via your agency. If you do not have an agency, then you can complete our application form and apply direct to us at global@copc.ac.uk.
- For September applicants, please apply before the end of June.
- For January applicants, please apply before the end of October.
Admissions criteria
You must also meet the following criteria:
- age 16 prior to September 1st and no older than age 18
- an in-date passport for travel
- submit a completed application form, as described above
- submit a completed parental consent and declaration form
- submit a signed acceptance of offer form
- pay 25% of your student fee within 28 days of receiving your offer letter.
If you are using our homestay service, then you will also need to:
- pay 4 weeks rent and one-off admin fee within 28 days of receiving your offer letter
- submit a homestay application form.
Additional requirements
You must meet our academic requirements to be eligible for a study programme placement, as follows:
- demonstrate a suitable level of academic English, normally at CEFR level B1
- demonstrate that you are competent to study at Level 3 in your chosen subjects during your application, including up to date transcripts from your current school. We also sometimes have subject specific requirements such as evidence of an art portfolio for entry on to one of our art courses or evidence of player footage for entry on to Elite Football
- successfully complete a video call interview with us to discuss and assess your subject choices
- provide at least one teacher recommendation
- a personal statement
- plus, any information relating to pre-existing physical or mental health issues and concerns.
International students with UK funding eligibility
If you are an international student with eligibility to study in the UK, full time for at least 1 year, funded by the UK government, then please do not apply using the application form above and instead you will need to apply using the main online application form. Examples of international students needing to apply via this route include UK passport holders, Dependent Visa holders, or other applicable Visas.
