Employers from across the Solent joined City of Portsmouth College to help shape the new T Level qualifications being launched this September.

Representatives from key regional healthcare and science organisations were invited to a working breakfast to develop a range of training pathways for the regions next generation of healthcare professionals.

They included experts from Solent NHS, Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, Southampton Hospitals University NHS Trust, Southampton Audiology, Mary Rose Manor, Latham Lodge Nursing Home, University of Portsmouth, Portsmouth City Council and the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership.

Plans for the new state-of-the-art healthcare training suite were also unveiled.

Located on the 9th floor of iconic Highbury Campus Tower, the circa £400k medical centre will include a four-bay hospital ward specialising in maternity, adult acute, elderly & theatre recovery care, alongside a dispensary, nurses’ station, two bespoke classrooms and a breakout learning area.
