Students feature in new radio ad

A new College advert will soon be gracing the airwaves of Portsmouth radio station Express FM – thanks to four of our talented students.
Performing Arts students Oscar Jewell and Evie Grant provided the voiceovers and Music Technology students Jacob Sharp and Siang Gao created the backing track.
They went along to the Express FM studios at the University of Portsmouth to record the ad with the expert help of radio personality Darren Gamblen.
“I think it sounds really good!” said Darren.
Lecturers Jo Field and Gary Street were also on hand to support.
It was the second time in the studio for Jacob, who has already featured on the station discussing his dreams of becoming a music producer.
Siang was responsible for mastering the backing track. “Going into the studio was a very rewarding experience,” he said. “I’ve learned a lot and I got to see a lot of stuff behind the scenes which no-one ever sees.”
