ESOL students celebrate Chinese new year.

Pronounced gong-shee fah-tsai, Gong Xi Fa Cai is a traditional greeting used during Chinese New Year celebrations, meaning ‘congratulations and may you be prosperous’.

ESOL students at our Arundel Campus marked the year of the snake by making fortune cookies, eating cakes and biscuits and drinking jasmine green tea.

‘Artist in residence’ Keira even painted the window to mark the event.

Lecturer Gulsah Robertson wished everyone Gong Xi Fa Cai!
