Taking back our streets
PUBLISHED 05-03-2025

Today’s focus for Colleges Week shifts to the government mission to take back our streets. We talk to Uniformed Protective Services students Erik and Tilly to get their thoughts.
Taking back our streets is one of five government missions which form the framework for this year’s Association of Colleges event.
The others are to:
- kickstart the economy
- become a green energy superpower
- break down barriers to opportunity
- build an NHS fit for the future.
Our Uniformed Protective Services courses are currently a Level 2 BTEC Certificate in Preparation for Public Services and a Level 3 BTEC National/Extended Diploma in Uniformed Protective Services.
The Level 2 is a great introduction, and the Level 3 is more physically demanding and particularly valued by the police, emergency services, armed forces and universities.
