Level 2 CTEC Certificate in Business

The Level 2 certificate in Business is designed to be taken as an introduction to the sector alongside GCSEs in maths and/or English. The qualification is designed to give students opportunities to demonstrate and develop the practical application of knowledge and understanding in business. It will enable them to develop research skills, both independently and with peers, as they progress through the qualification.

Assessment for the qualifications is task-based, students do not need to take exams to achieve the qualification. This provides a supportive alternative for students who struggle with exam stress.

As an introduction to business, students will develop relevant business understanding with transferable skills through hands-on experience and preparing further study in business or the world of work.

They will have the opportunity to work with the Enterprise Academy, Unloc, which supports business knowledge and entrepreneurial skills, and take part in work experience or volunteering.
