This part-time course is suitable for those already working and looking to achieve a formal qualification.
The course covers all aspects of site carpentry including using and maintaining hand and power tools whilst developing skills and techniques to produce various timber joints and frames.
Ideally you will be already working within the construction industry.
This is a two-year programme and attendance will be one full day a week, typically from 9am-4.30pm. A high level of attendance is required for successful achievement.
You will complete several practical assessments and in class assessments. There are also two online exams. You will log your learning journey in a diploma portfolio folder. All elements must be completed to successfully achieve the qualification.
On successful completion of the course you could progress to Level 3 Diploma in Site Carpentry.
