Explore business startup and gain the necessary digital skills and competencies for further study within business administration and enterprise. The technical qualifications provide a springboard into a variety of employment opportunities and the technical and practical skills developed are highly transferable across all industries. 

Whether you aim to start your own business or work in a corporate setting, the skills and knowledge acquired from this course will be invaluable. You will cover:

  • the business enterprise environment
  • researching a concept for a new or revised product or service
  • promoting and financing an enterprise idea
  • planning and pitching an enterprise Idea.

A minimum of four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English language.

You will be in college three days a week during term time, with the remaining day studying at home or in college, unless you need to retake your maths and/or English GCSEs. At least 90% attendance is required.

You will be taught by fully qualified, experienced tutors , using a range of resources and methods. Assessments will comprise 25% externally set exam and 75% internally assessed coursework for each qualification. Coursework is internally assessed and externally moderated.

School Leavers under the age of 19 do not have to pay fees on any full time courses, though may have to pay for their second year if turning 19 during their studies. If you’re aged 19 or over you might qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan. It’s easy to apply for and you won’t have to pay anything back until you’re earning over £25,000. If you are studying a part-time course and you receive one of the following benefits, or you depend financially on someone who does, you may be entitled to have your tuition fees waived: Job Seekers Allowance, Income Support. You will, however, have to pay any awarding body/assessment fees (unless you are on a first full level 2 course). * If you are in receipt of Working Tax Credit or receive other allowances, you may be eligible to claim concessionary rates. If you are entitled to a fee concession you will be asked to provide proof of your entitlement. It is essential that you inform us if your entitlement changes at any time during your course.

A Level 3 diploma, T Level or an apprenticeship. You could get an entry level job like marketing research assistant, business development advisor, or administrative support. You could even start your own business with the confidence and skills you gain.
