This exciting new qualification is focused on progression to employment across a range of roles within esports.
Units include:
- introduction to esports
- Esports skills, strategies and analysis
- enterprise and entrepreneurship in the esports industry
- health, wellbeing and fitness for esports players.
This qualification with industry endorsement will let you learn underpinning knowledge, develop technical and transferable skills, and gain experience in a variety of different sections of the esports industry. There is a range of specific course options, including visits to expos relating to the gaming industry.
A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English language. You should have an active interest in gaming and have some experience of online gaming in particular.
You will have a 9.55am start, one lesson in the morning, one in the afternoon and a guaranteed 4pm finish. You will also have at least one morning and one afternoon per week free for private study.
Assessments will comprise 60% personal investigation and 40% externally set practical exam. Your coursework is internally assessed and externally moderated.
You can progress to an Esports degree or employment as an Esports player, shoutcaster and presenter, social media influencer, video production editor or data analyst.
