This course is suitable for those who have already gained experience at an entry level role and are ready to develop their knowledge so that they can progress their career in the Human Resource sector.

This Diploma in HR focuses on the role of people practitioners in the wider organisational and environmental context and includes an examination of the importance and contribution of evidence-based practice, as well as looking at an ethical approach to managing people. It will help you develop a deeper understanding of people management issues.

  • talent management and workforce planning
  • reward for performance and contribution
  • specialist employment law.

Applications for this course are assessed on an individual basis, so if you don't have the following qualifications, but have relevant experience in a people practice/HR business partner role beyond entry level, your application will be considered:

Classes will be held Wednesdays, 10am-6pm. Other sessions may be offered if there is sufficient demand.

This course is largely classroom based, although there is some online learning relating to one unit.
Each of the seven units is assessed through a written assignment.

School Leavers under the age of 19 do not have to pay fees on any full time courses, though may have to pay for their second year if turning 19 during their studies. If you’re aged 19 or over you might qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan. It’s easy to apply for and you won’t have to pay anything back until you’re earning over £25,000. If you are studying a part-time course and you receive one of the following benefits, or you depend financially on someone who does, you may be entitled to have your tuition fees waived: Job Seekers Allowance, Income Support. You will, however, have to pay any awarding body/assessment fees (unless you are on a first full level 2 course). * If you are in receipt of Working Tax Credit or receive other allowances, you may be eligible to claim concessionary rates. If you are entitled to a fee concession you will be asked to provide proof of your entitlement. It is essential that you inform us if your entitlement changes at any time during your course.

After you have successfully completed this course, you could go on to study the Level 7 CIPD Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management or the Level 7 CIPD Diploma in Strategic Learning and Development.
